After receiving a PhD in chemistry from Purdue University I worked over 20 years in discovery research areas. I then turned to my calling of education and became a certified science teachers for grades 8-12. I taught middle school science for five years. I have since retired but love to stay connected to science and math education by tutoring. I have the gift of being able to take complex subject matter, make it easy to undersand and connect it to the real world.
Students come with various background and motivation levels and ways of learning. A tutor needs to be able to discover within the student the best way for that student to learn. When i was at the University, I used to be a professor assistant, and used to help students with their signatures. From 2006-2008 i started at Houston Community College as a Faculty professor for Spanish and math. My teaching style is very graphis, with many examples and supported by adio/visual tools to accomplish all the teaching goals. I have assisted children with math deficiencies in the past.
Just after graduation I started to work at an engineering consulting company as a project engineer. This position gave me the opportunity to concentrate in engineering design and project management.
