I work through positive behavior supports, humor and style to motivate the student to understand the need to learn the core subject matter in order to proceed through high school. I am excellent at reading the needs of the student and creating lessons that are relevant, interesting and fun.
I have taught all core subjects plus art history for over 20 years using various state mandated materials and supplementals I purchased through special ed catalogs.
