I have been teaching since 2005. My career began in Las Vegas, Nevada teaching 7th grade U.S. History at Sedway Middle School followed by Hyde Park Middle School (2005-2010). I have 2+ years teaching 11th grade AP and Honors U.S. History at Southwest Career and Technical Academy (2010-2012). My experience also includes teaching various social studies classes online at Beacon Academy of Nevada (2008-2011). I am currently teaching 9-12 Social Studies at Capital High School in West Columbus (2013).
My teaching style is best described as Project based and differential instructions. I do not believe that students learn the same ways and need different teaching strategies to learn. In my class you can see multiple products of learning based on this approach to teaching. My style carries over into the private tutoring I provide.

As a father of three, I love to teach through example. As much as possible, I love to use practical illustrations to emphasize points and to give the child/student a better understanding of its application. I have recently retired after 35 years as an educator. I have earned the degrees of BS in Business, MBA, and Ed.D. I have taught high school business, math, and accounting.
