Even though I graduated with a degree in Business Adminstration I hav always enjoys tutoring. I have been tutoring my younger neices and nephews just because I enjoy so. I have tutored grades K-12 in about almost every subject possible except band. I have written lots research papers on many different subjects.
I feel if that you really want to learn a subject, that you should try teaching it. I am very friendly and laid back. Teaching mainly K-8 on a consistent schedule, I have learned that some students need one-on-one teaching. Being the third teacher in Head Start, I had time to work with individual students. All children were very well prepared for kindergarten. The older children, including High School and Middle School, I would walk around the room and aide them when they were confused. I also had them read the text orally taking turns and we would do the work sheet to prepare for quiz, test or new chapter. I am very patient with those who are truly in need of assistance. I have tutored in the past in phonics for those having difficulty reading and pronouncing letters.

During my undergraduate studies I tutored at Delta College's Teaching/Learning Center for almost 2 years. While working there I received an award for Tutor of the Year. Delta College being a community college with a wide range of students I have worked with students of all ages and backgrounds. I focused mainly in the areas of Mathematics and Computer Science. For the past 30 years, I have worked with special needs students. I believe that students learn at their educational level. The problem with education today, is that students are often in classrooms that stress learning at their frustration level. Many students are in general ed settings, but are forced to use materials that they do not fully understand.
