As a graduate of Southwestern University with a Bachelor in English and Communications, I was drawn to the field of education. I come from a family of teachers. After earning a post-baccalaureate certification in Secondary Education with a focus on English/Language Arts, I taught for a couple years and wanted to expand my teaching to younger students as well. I am also certified in elementary k-6 instruction. My passion and specialization are in reading instruction, literature, grammar, and composition.
