In the past I have done short-term tutoring for algebra/pre-algebra, geometry, high school calculus (calc 1), and algebra II. I have also tutored in English as a second language, specifically for native Spanish speakers.

My comments on tutoring Pre-Calculus : For those preparing to take Calculus at the high school or college level, this course is a must. Unfortunately, many of the concepts are theoretical in nature and difficult to visualize. I can help make sense of this preparation course and prepare you for success at the next level.

My approach to tutoring is built around my belief that all students can learn. Once a proper foundation is in place, my strategy involves helping students master mathematical concepts one step at a time. What is sometimes taught in the classroom as a "single step" may in reality be several steps all rolled into one. My approach involves taking these "single steps" and breaking them down so each student can fully understand what is required and why.
