Tutoring began for me at Montana State University-Northern while attending school majoring in Pre-Med. I worked at Student Support Services for five semesters tutoring mostly science based classes. I fell in love with giving knowledge and helping students understand concepts of their specific courses. I am two semesters away from obtaining my B.S in Pre-Med with a minor in chemistry. I have always enjoyed working with multiple levels of students, but prefer high school and up. Math and science are my preferred areas for tutoring including: Introductory chemistry, inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, biochemistry, physics 1, cellular biology, anatomy and physiology, zoology, microbiology, and molecular biology. At the university level, my experience has shown me that all students can have trouble from basic to advanced concepts. During the first meeting I explain to the student that it

I believe in identifying the learning style of the student which can take some time with some. Are they a visual learner I draw pictures, maps, charts and video; if an audio learner tapes, lecture, youtube, video, etc,.. and if a kinesthetic learner then they need the hands on experience to develop the learning that is needed, so then standing back to guide the thought process without doing it for them. I started as an Adjunct Instructor at ISU for the Geomatics Engineering program for the 2007-2008 school year. Prepare for class setup the curriculum, homework, grading and test for 10-12 students. I went to ITT Technical Institute following that and was offered to Chair School of Drafting & Design. I taught and ran the department for 2 years. I was in charge of 4-10 teachers and 170+ students.

I have a unique approach to teaching because my background is both analytical (numbers and science) and imaginative (theater and literature). While classroom training is my forte, I also have a solid background in teaching online. This combination is particularly useful since no two children learn in the same way. I do not believe any student is dumb. If he or she has struggled picking up a concept, it is more likely because the right method of teaching has not yet been explored. I also believe educational advancement needs to be determined objectively by comparing scores from start to finish and subjectively by measuring a student's own feelings about his or her progress. As a graduate from BYU with a BS in finance and composite minors in accounting and economics, I moved into the medical management field. Within 7 years, I had taken a medical practice struggling to survive financially
