As an Industrial Engineering graduate of NC A&T State University, I have gained the a great appreciation of mathematical concepts and how they are applied in every industry and everyday life. A Little Bit About Me...

I have earned a bachelor of science in Electrical Engineering, that gave me a deep understanding in maths, geometry and physics. The intensive English program gave me very strong skills in grammar, writing research papers and essays. My most recent study area is MS in Environmental and Energy management, which allowed to reinforce my knowledge in several areas like climate change, air pollution, water pollution, green buildings.

My one to one teaching style is tailored to adapt to the students learning style. However, my experience shows that keeping the student active during the learning process promotes a better learning. I use Microsoft Excel during my lessons. I create formulas, graphs, etc. and the Excel spreadsheet and ask the student to enter the data so that he/she can see how things change with different entries. This interactive process increased the student interest, kept them focused and helped them to hold the knowledge in many instances.

I love teaching, Math especially. I have a passion for showing kids how important MAth is in everyday life. Only then they would take down that barrier of "I Dont Need Math" most ofthem have set up. I come from a very diverse background and I enjoy talking about my culture and learning about other cultures. I do not believe in spoon-feeding kids work, meaning that you have to make them responsible for doing the work, because only then they would see the true value in it.
