I like to ask questions and get the student involved. I like to get the student engaged as much as possible. I would like to observe the method in which the student obtains the most information and expound on that variable, triggering many senses for better memorization. My teaching style would consist of trying to get the student to understand what they are studying which is considerably better than just simple short term memorization. I earned a well rounded education from Western Kentucky University with a strong emphasis in math / Engineering. Since College I have pursued the Surveying field. I have recently obtained the status of Professional Land Surveyor with the State of Kentucky. I have taught young graduates surveying practices in relation to the Engineering field while in management positions. I would be very excited about teaching children.

As a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University I have dedicated a lot of my time and effort to learning concepts of physics. I have earned a bachelor degree in physics with a minor in mathematics graduating with a 4.0 in both my major and minor classes. I graduated magna cum laude, was awarded introductory to physics student of the year, awarded the Ted M. George outstanding senior in physics award, and taught an introductory to physics lab at Eastern Kentucky University Fall 2009. However I am also able to provide a knowledge base in a number of subjects to help answer questions the student may be struggling with. I am comfortable working with children of all ages to help them meet their full learning potential as students. As a graduate of a small liberal arts college, I have spent many hours volunteering to help tutor my classmates in both biology and the humanities. I hold a bachelor's degree in biology. While in college, I earned a BS degree in Education with minors in Science and Biology. I have taught for 15 years in inner city St. Louis, MO, 5 years at Job Corps in Kentucky, and 3 years in alternative schools in Kentucky. I presently teach students, grades 7-12 in an Ombudsman Alternate School in Nashville, TN. I have experience in tutoring students in the areas of science, mathematics, biology, and history.
