I am an artist, teacher, writer, and designer. I have been creating art since the age of 5 years old. I received a scholarship from Memphis College of Art for my portfolio and artistic ability. I have been teaching art to inner-city youth for 6 years, teaching elementary and high school aged students. I have also spent the last 2 months giving private art lessons to a child at my church. I love teaching art and helping children discover their artistic voice.

I believe children learn by experiences and examples. Making it relevant and interesting makes them to want to learn. They begin to understand the purpose for learning the material. Children have different learning styles and every child doesn't learn at the same rate. Teachers must realize this when planning lessons. Students need to know that to have the basics such as a home, a car and food for their family, they need an education. Kids don't think about the future and how their decisions will determine the rest of their lives. I have tutored elementary students during my tenure in the Air Force on a volunterr basis. I worked as a Introduction to Computers instructor at Keiser College for two semesters. I have a fascination with math and numbers. My extensive experience with budgeting and using spreadsheets and formulas has kept me fresh with my math skills.
