In 2001, I started my educational degree program. In order to better prepare me for my future career, I immediately started working in the school system. From 2001-2004, I worked as a 1:1 aide for a child in the primary grades, K-12 substitute in all subject areas, youth mentor for mentally disturbed children, and a life-skills tutor for a child with Asberger's Syndrome. The day after I graduated with my bachelor's degree, I was hired as a permanent substitute. The next school year I got a job teaching fourth grade and I also started working on my master's degree. I stayed in that fourth grade position until I relocated to NJ in 2007, which is also when I obtained my master's degree. A Little Bit About Me...

It's true that every student learns at a different pace with a different style. I like to see myself as a cameleon teacher, catering my format to individual needs. My style tends to be laid back so that students are comfortable expressing their likes and dislikes with me, curbing their fear of not understanding something. I love to use metaphors, pictures, examples and stories to illustrate the subject in a new and perhaps clearer way. I don't teach and run - I make sure the student understands before moving on to the next problem. I have them work through something in front of me so I can make sure they know what they're doing. I got my bachelors degree from India. My specialization was in Physics, Chemistry and Math. I am interested in chemistry and hence I enrolled into a Master's program in Chemistry and after that I worked as a chemistry lecturer in India. It gave me great pleasure to instruct students on the concepts of general and organic chemistry. Then I moved to USA and then registered at the University of North Carolina to obtain another Master's degree.
