Geography is one of my top subjects! I teach college-level World Geography classes.

I have a master's degree in history and have been teaching introductory level history courses at the college level for four years now. I take complex ideas and break them down for the student piece by piece to a level where they can relate to them and begin to internalize the ideas. It's all about starting with what the student feels comfortable with and showing them the why behind the facts, rather than just random names, dates, and figures.

As I suffered through my younger years with Attention Deficit Disorder, I feel that it is extremely important to appeal to almost all of the senses when teaching. As for myself, I am definitely a visual learner, so I feel that visual aids are important. I am a big fan of hand outs in full color. You will often find me drawing a picture on the board.
