After graduating from Susquehanna University in 1993, I began substitute teaching for my former elementary school in Lincroft, NJ. I then took a full-time preschool teaching position for one year. I have enjoyed each experience I have had with teaching, beginning with an informal position as a study group leader in the Genetics course I completed at Penn State University. While working on my MS at the University of Tennessee, I taught lecture and outdoor laboratory sessions for the Ornithology course, which included about 30 students.
