When it comes down to my teaching style I believe that Vygotsky's Sociolinguistic theory just about sums it up because I believe that the best way for people in general to learn is by conversation. I believe that for students to really learn and comprehend a particular idea they must be be able to talk it through. Also, I believe that children learn better with a more kinesthetic approach. When the child has a chance to get themselves involved in it they are usually able to recall the information better. A Little Bit About Me...

I am very adaptive to students learning style. I usually spend the first ten minutes of our first meeting figuring out what the student is struggling with and how to best meet their needs. I try to teach students more how to think analytical more so then just solving problems because it is more beneficial to the student. I feel that if I can teach the student how to read theorems, understand concepts, then problems just become easy at that point.
I started tutoring part time in 2004 and have continued this throughout college. I worked as a math tutor for tulsa community college part time during the summer. I have earned over 190 hours of college credit, I have two degrees, and I am only 15 hours away from a chemical engineering degree.
