I am a former United States Marine and a recent college gradute with a bachelors degree in English and a minor in advertising. I am winner of the Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps Writting Award and I have also worked as a substitute teacher for the past 3 years. Lastly, I am TEFL certified. I became a published author of game reviews for a computer magazine at age 15. I worked at the University of Pennsylvania in Chemical Engineering under an Army Research Office grant, then as a software developer for the Mechical/Materials Engineering Dept. During college, I was in food service for 5 years, then a Records Clerk in county government. I was Advertising Director and Business Manager for two small, innovative Philadelphia newspapers. A Little Bit About Me...

My experience working in a local high school--as the school bookkeeper, as a substitute teacher, and as the cheerleader coach has given me the skills I need to teach and tutor others. I have a Master's Degree in Business Administration with emphasis on Accounting, and was asked by a former professor to teach a Principles of Accounting class. At the time, I was employed full time and could not accept the position. I have extensive skills in writing essays and research reports. I left there in January 2010 to pursue my Masters in Accounting. I gained valuable experience in reading, writing and the application of mathematical formulas through working in a fast paced accounting office. I supervised one to three employees, trained them and audited their work.
