I am great at teaching youth and adults alike in getting the best education and setting goals. I am always excited about helping someone learn something new and training them different methods of learning and retaining the knowledge. I believe that success comes through education. I believe in getting a good education. I was in the Unites States Navy for 16 years. I joined the military right out of high school. I received my Certificate in Management, Associate of Arts degree, and Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Maryland College Park, Maryland while traveling and serving on active duty for my country. I have mentored and worked with many after school programs.

A Little Bit About Me...

When I have "tutored" fellow colleagues and students in the past, I have learned that one must be creative in their teaching so that every person can learn in their own way. Creativity is the key to helping a person understand, even playful games have their place in teaching. I have always been a team player and have excellent interpersonal skills. Also, I will be taking the Praxis I tomorrow in preparation of teaching in the fall. *(In the above question on years of experience, the "20" years are of teaching/tutoring of colleagues and fellow students, not tutoring in a formal sense.)

I love working with children. I am mainly in the Library however, I work with students on a one to one basis. I cater my teaching style to the indivual students (I work with several). I am patient and considerate because I know that what might work for one student might not necessarily work for the next. I cater to the students needs because I am here for the child's success.
