For the past several years I have owned a run my own Grant Writing Company. I specialized in the teaching and the mentoring of my clients in the Grant application process. I worked hand-in hand with them in preparing the detailed paperwork. I aided them in so as they were able to shape their business proposal so that it would fit the necessary criteria to recieve various grants. I am an accomplished writer, public speaker and independent business owner. I first must one hundred percent become knowledgeable and comfortable with the material I will be teaching. I enjoy being able to personalize myself not only with the work but the students as well. I am entirely patient and open to questions and problems and suggestions that need be. Although I have only been teaching in a classroom setting for the last two semesters, I have spent a great deal of time teaching friends and fellow students over the years. I am very patient and able to adapt to the student with whom I am working. I am a firm believer that learning, and learning math especially, is not a spectator sport and that a great deal of practice is required to fully understand most material. As a working professional, I was driven later in life to get a degree that was started right after high school. I initially had 90 course hours towards a Social Work degree, and when I returned changed it to business. I have a BS in Business Management, and I only have one class left to get my Masters(MBA). This has allowed me to have a vast bit of working experience in math and accounting. I have exceptional grammatic skills, due to weekly submitted papers in each class. I have been a elementary substitute teacher in the past, and have trained and evaluated new pharmacy technicians for over 20 years. I am a very patient teacher. I grew up with both partents in the public education system, I was a student-teacher in H.S. and I earned a bachelor degree in Parks, Recreation, Natural Resource Management with a minor in Art Education. After graduation I taught Art and pre-school classes for the Springfield, MO Parks Dept. I was a librarian at the Springfield Art Museum.
