A Little Bit About Me...

I always try to ask the student what they think they are weak in. Always try to change the teaching method so that the student does not fall in a routine every session. They sometimes decide on doing, for example, in math, inventing their own equation and participating in their own learning.
I have been teaching and tutoring students for over 10 years. I teach students up to grade 12. I have been working in Canada as a tutor and worked with dyslexic students as well. I taught math and excelled myself with a high gpa up to grade 12.

Because I had such a hard time learning and focusing in a regimented, institutional-type learning setting in school, and yet was a brilliant child, I teach extremely well in a relational more relaxed approach. Rather than "shove information down throats" I am interested in each individual, and to get to know their personality and learning style. I have found that when there is relationship and trust between the mentor and the student, not only does the student learn the information more effectively, but as the mentor, I am able to teach and speak more clearly. Rather than lecturing or preaching at them about what I think life should be like for them, I take them hiking, out to eat, to movies etc.

Since my earliest childhood memories, I have been fascinated and intrigued by languages and cultures. Following my passion, I chose my majors in high-school to be English and French, engaging as much as possible in their cultures (e.g. exchange programs, penfriends, courses abroad). During those years, I simultaneously attended a music college for classical flute and made my first teaching experiences in teaching flute, as well as tutoring high school students in French, English and Latin.
