My comments on tutoring Genetics : If you understand statistics and enjoy geneology, you are one of the few, but with a little bit of work, I can help you understand Genetics a whole lot better.

I am a hands on type of a tutor, I start from the basics and work my way up to their current subjects, so that they can build on a good foundation, understanding the basics is the most critical step to understanding the complexities of Algebra and above, and how the sciences start to get more complex in human anatomy and physiology.
In my years of education, I found that some of the methods used for teaching these subjects were inadequately explained, therefore causing students not to truly understand how to apply mathematics and science in school and their every day life. I have learned how to tutor in these subjects from raising my own children, all of whom found these subjects to be hard until I showed them how to avoid the pitfalls of our educations system. My style of teaching varies per student. I am able to adapt to fit the child's style of learning. I have found that many students are discovery students or kinetic learners. I enjoy giving examples and finding understanding in a problem. Children need positive enforcement and encouragement. I enjoy working will all age groups and seeing each child achieve their goals.
I pride myself in the fact that I am a life long learner. I continued my education in graduate school in order to excel in my professional field, but also to assist others in their life long goals. I have earned a bachelor degree in statistics and minored in mathematics which helped me to work in many financial and technology companies.I was working for bank for 7 years in different 7 positions and working on database software.In addition to these, i was tutoring college 1st year students in mathematics, statistics and economics.I was also tutoring high school students from grade 9-12 in Mathematics and Physics.
