Teaching is not something I had initially aspired to but found I am a teacher and motivator by nature. I love the challenge of figuring what pieces, educational, each student is missing and helping them fill the their gaps to reach the next level and have things come together for them. I am very patient and try to make each session fun and interesting. My students and work associates have always enjoyed working with me and I like feeling/knowing that we all came away with something we didn't start with.

I have earned my bachelors in Biology which makes me highly qualified to tutor in math and science. While I was in college I tutored students in 3rd-8th grade with math. I also received a Masters degree in Education which helped me learn different ways to teach subjects for higher achievement.
I love to help children understand a subject better. It is a great feeling to see a student get the idea after being helped. I believe that every student is capable of learning; it all depends on their learning style. In my masters program and while I have been teaching, I have learned many ways to get students engaged in the material they are learning. Some students learn better with one on one and some do better with group work. You just have to try different approaches until you see which one works best.
