Literature is one of my top subjects!

I graduated from Spring Arbor University with a BA in English-Writing. Throughout my classes, I have honed the skills of writing and communicating effectively, whether it be creatively or analytically, as well as expanded my knowledge of literature by taking classes such as Shakespeare and 20th Century British Literature. I am a very well-read person who has a leaning toward classic authors such as Bronte, Dumas,and Hemingway. I completed a senior honors thesis, which was 70 pages of analyzing the works of J.R.R. Literature is one of my top subjects!

I prefer a style that empowers the students to take ownership of their work so they will become better thinkers and writers. I prefer discussion-based learning opposed to "lecture-style" teaching where I can interact freely with the student as a peer-tutor. More specifically, I like to use white boards and visual aids in sessions.
I have worked in Cedarville University's Writing Center as a tutor for two years. As a tutor, I conducted one-on-one sessions with college-age students to help them improve their writing and critical thinking skills.
