A Little Bit About Me...

During my high school career I was frequently called upon to be a teacher's assistant. This was over fourth, fifth, and sixth graders the majority of the time. I also tutored a fellow classmate in Algebra q, chemistry and biology. I also currently have a job tutoring two sixth graders in math and english. They were at a third grade level when I began and are now into the beginning of fifth grade work. I have only been working with them for approximately two months.

Due to the fact that I was born and raised in Germany and have since lived in various foreign countries, I have adopted sensitivity when it comes to culture and characters. As a teacher I learned to be very observant before implementing a specific teaching strategy. Not only does every child have a different character, but they are all brought up in different surroundings and family constellations. A Little Bit About Me...

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting. I have very strong math skills, especially in Algebra, which is what my daughter is learning now. I excelled in grammar, art, health, and science as well. I was a teacher at a private school for a year after college before I started a family and began home schooling. My daughter is now in the 8th grade and tests at the college level in reading and high school levels at most other subjects.
I have a daughter in the 8th grade and a son in the 6th. I have home schooled them the past 9 years. They have very different learning styles which has helped me to learn to teach in different ways to accommodate their needs. I am patient and easy going and I love helping kids.
