Are you ready to learn Japanese?!

Hello everyone! My name is Michael and I am a senior at the University of Utah. My major is Japanese Language and Literature. I'm expecting to graduate next spring and am looking forward to helping you learn more Japanese. Japanese language and culture are very interesting. Japanese calligraphy, tea ceremony, festivals, and traditions are all insights into the Japanese people and to learn Japanese, in my opinion you also need to understand Japanese culture. Some phrases and expressions don’t translate directly, you have to understand the culture to really understand it. For beginner students who haven’t learned how to read or write the syllabary of Japanese Hiragana and Katakana, I strongly recommend that you learn them early to improve reading and pronunciation. I was born and grew up in Yokohama, Japan. After I moved to America with my family in 2006, I graduated from Central Washington University with Bachelor of Science in Accounting. I work full time M-F as an Accountant. I do tutoring on weekends. While I worked for 15 years in Japan, I mastered Japanese language at business level as well. I am a recent graduate from University of Utah with a degree in Asian Studies, Chinese Language, and International Relations. I was born and raised in Okinawa Japan and went to a local Japanese school. My first language is Japanese and English and I am able to teach any level (beginner to advanced), including Kanji. I also work at the Utah Japanese Language School teaching 4-5 year old kid. My total teaching experience is a little over 5 years.
