I currently teach at the college level for various colleges including dual credit courses in many high schools. I have been a tutor for over 15+ years. I have been a statistician, a chemist in a laboratory setting, worked in the medical field, and done consulting for various companies through out my career. I am very experienced in helping students with testing skills. I have over thirty years of teaching experience helping students succeed by developing their skills in language arts. Reading instruction is my passion and I have worked with students from Kindergarten through Grade 8. Also, I have helped many students pass state-mandated tests through the use of tried and true strategies and skill awareness. I love teaching and I love to see the spark in a child's eye when they finally understand a subject they have struggled with! I am a certified special education instructional support aide for an elementary school in northwest Fort Worth. During the school year, I work in Resource and Content Mastery with special education students that are in general education classes but need additional instruction in Reading, Math, and Language Arts. I also provide additional assistance through Content Mastery to students in Science and Social Studies. I am currently pursuing a second Master's degree in Education with a specialization in Special Education as well as pursuing teacher certification through Texas Teachers.
