I love children of all ages. I am very patient and laid back. I am kind, and considerate of others. My goal would be to help the child learn and understand, while making the experience a fun and rewarding one. I believe everyone has the ability to do whatever they strive for. I had a teacher in my youth that made such a huge impact in my life, and I have always wanted to repay that favor to other children. I strongly believe that one good teacher can make all the difference in a child's academic career.
I have always been driven to achieve a high level of excellence in everything I do. As a college student, I tutored many of my friends and peers for free. I have tutored several children since graduating college for free as well, and have always enjoyed helping others learn and understand new things.

Patience and listening are the two most valuable parts of my teaching style. No one learns well in a hostile or rushed environment. I believe that the potential is there for all to learn even the most difficult subject matter and it is truly a joy to see the light of understanding shine through a student's eyes. I graduated from Morehead State University with a BS in Chemistry and a Geology minor in 1996. I used this degree to obtain work in my field, and outside of my field for the past 14 years. As a Midway College graduate, I held high standards in achieving a level of excellence in education.I have earned a BS in Arts, which has enabled me to gain an understanding in many areas of organizing, implementing, evaluating, management,and other related disciplines. As of February 2011 I will begin work on an MBA degree at Midway College.
