A Little Bit About Me...

As a graduate of a presigious liberal arts college, I was driven to a belief in life-long learning. As such I have been to graduate school twice, once in business and once in international relations, to gain an understanding of the world in which we live both in terms of economics and finance and through the study of foreign policy and the wider world. I became fluent in Spanish while on assignment in Spain in the early 1990's and keep my skills current by working actively with the Latino community. I am also a scholar of 20th century european and diplomatic history, with concentration on the period between the two world wars. I currently teach Consumer Economics and Business at Pike's Peak Community College, and English as a Second Language through Catholic Charities.

A Little Bit About Me...

My experience is generally with high school and adult learners and I also am extremely proficient with online learning and designing curriculum for online learning that uses mobile devices and virtual simulations. My doctorate research is in the interplay between real and virtual identity when we go into an online space, making me very adept at teaching anytime, anywhere. I am able to teach most high school and undergraduate level subjects as well as writing and business but have a particular passion for finance, history, and most math courses (algebra).
My teaching style is collaborative; everyone brings some gift to the table. I never forget to thank my students for giving me the opportunity to guide them on their journey.
