I believe that all children can learn but they don't all learn the same way. It is my job as the teacher to make the lessons interesting and present them in such a way that the student will understand what is being taught. I believe that students need to feel valued and successful and it is my job to help them achieve success in their education and to feel valued as people. I will be graduating in May 2011 with a Masters of Arts in Teaching for Special Education and will then obtain a teaching license for Special Education, K-12. During my Masters program I have taught students in large groups and small groups, performed assessments on students, and planned daily lesson plans and curriculum for students in a variety of subjects. Education has always been extremely important to me. To me there is no greater feeling than finally grasping a difficult concept and I love helping someone else achieve that feeling.
