My comments on tutoring Biology : I took Bio 101 & 102 in college, which is general biology. I received high A's in the class both semester.

What I try to do first is get the student to work out the problem, and as they are doing that I will work the problem as well. We will go over our answers together so I have a chance to explain the problem to the student. I believe that repitition and practice makes perfect as long as you have someone to explain it along the way. I will thoroughly explain the problem to the student if they don't understand it. By the end I would hope that the student could then explain how to do the problem to me.
I am now a sophomore at Germanna Community College. I have taken Algebra, Biology, English, Contemporary Mathematics, and various psychology courses. I am continuing to take more math and science classes. As a high school student I took Algebra I and II, Biology, Duel Enrollment English, and various other courses.
