I am a former teacher of English, acting, SAT Prep, and Public Speaking. All this experience gives me unique perspective. I am adventurous and like to help students enjoy learning. Working through problems or lessons with the student by leading them through it, then working it with them side by side while explaining the details helps them achieve the accomplishment of learning without making them feel as if they were just instructed how to do it. Helping a student learn is more than just teaching them a lesson in math, science, or English; it’s about being someone that they can look up to as a role model, being someone that they can learn from in more than just an academic manner, and being someone who is there for them when they need something. I have earned a Bachelors degree in Psychology and Literature. Through the course of my studies, I have gained strong written and oral communication skills. A Little Bit About Me...

Throughout my scholastic career I have always been a focused and driven student. While at Elder, I was a Spanish and science tutor, graduated in the top four percent of my class, and received the distinction of "National Hispanic Scholar." Also, during the summers, I volunteered at Children's Hospital, monitoring play-rooms and working with children of all ages. I believe that all children are unique and gifted in some way. I truly prefer to work with them one-on-one.
