During my collegiate years, I learned that experience was just as important as obtaining my degree. Therefore, I worked during my college years in a school offering mentoring for young children. For the last two years, I have worked for a young adult mentoring program called Project Respect. I work as a classroom facilitator. My BA in Communications offers me experience in writing research papers, essays, preparing and delivering speeches, and developing creative case studies. Currently, I am working on my Masters in Science, which enables me to teach Science and Math classes, as well.
I enjoy adapting my personal teaching style to each individual specifically. As a current student at Central Michigan, I continue to strive for the best education I can possibly achieve. I have clepped out or aced all english classes at the college level and have found a great interest in writing and reading papers and essays. I am extremely familiar with both APA and MLA writing styles and have had numerous hours and years of practice writing papers and essays for my college level courses. I received a 1 on my MEAP writing and a 30 on my ACT writing/English section.
Al though I have never technically tutored or taught a child writing, I am interested in helping aid a child's learning experience. I am extremely personable and social, and would get along great with any child. I am patient, understanding and eager to provide my extensive knowledge of writing to those that need help.
