I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with a Kindergarten Endorsement, M.A.E. degree, and a Master of Arts degree in Special Education with minors in the following: Learning Disabilities, Mildly Mentally Handicapped, Seriously Emotionally Handicapped. I have taught at the elementary level in both general education classes and special education classes and at the high school level in special education classes.
I enjoy teaching and find it very rewarding. I graduated Cum Laude from Ball State with a double major in Visual Communication and Genetics. Both my parents were teachers and I often tutored my friends. I taught Swimming to children every summer for from 2001-2005, so I have experience with young children having a hard time paying attention. I have strong skills in science and math.
I like to work one-on-one with students. I can get a better feel for their learning style and therefore teach for that specific student. I like to teach by relating the subject to real life situations. All students can learn anything, it just sometimes takes a more personal approach before it really clicks. That is what I want to provide for a student.

A Little Bit About Me...

I am currently a Senior at Bethel College. I will recieve a bachelor's in Psychology at May 1, 2011. I have been tutoring since the summer of 2010. I tutored pre-algebra this summer during my internship at Bashor Children's Home in Goshen Indiana. I am currently tutoring College Pre-Algebra at Bethel College. I have excelled in Written Communications 3, Reseach Methods, College Statistics, and the psychology courses that I have taken. I have also taken 4.5 years of Spanish. I am well capable to tutoring in any of the subjects that I have mentioned.
I enjoy tutoring those who are in Middle School or High school. I feel as though they tend to have a higher capacity for sustaining attention.
