I have been teaching in Duval County for 3 years. My first year was as a sub and I deliberately taught every day, generally in ESE/VE. In my first months I taught at 26 different schools, from elementary to high school. The allowed me to earn significant experience in a short time. I have over 20 years in business experience, 17 of which was as a Staff Accountant for a small CPA firm in RI. I enjoyed my work and all of the experience I gained from that position. I then worked and put myself through college again to pursue my next love - teaching. I graduated Cum Laude with a 3.73 GPA. A Little Bit About Me...

I am a former UConn graduate (1984) with a BS in Marketing. Many of my electives were in mathematics, enabling me to work as a student tutor on campus. I have also completed coursework in anatomy and physiology. In addition to tutoring college level students I have worked with elementary and middle school children in church youth groups, assisting with bible verse memorization and reading skills,as well as staging music productions. My experience also includes homeschooling my own children and assisting in classrooms.
My teaching style is relaxed, but focused. I believe all children can be natural learners, especially when they find something that interests them. Patience is the key with children. Every child has their own pace and learning style. Some are very visual learners while others need to be able to be more hands-on. It is very rewarding helping someone succeed.
