I believe I have a natural ability to work with students of all ages. Tutoring and being able to help students understand certain topics is very rewarding for me. I truly enjoy doing helping others. My teaching style is somewhat laid-back, but students know that I expect them to learn to their fullest potential. My passion for literature and writing led me to study English for both my undergraduate and graduate degrees. This interest and enthusiasm for reading literary and academic texts transferred into my freshman composition courses, where I taught students to construct expository and analytical essays. Besides a focus on basic essay format, grammatical corrections, and sentence structure, I also encouraged students to develop their interpretive reading skills.
