I enjoy teaching and working with all children. I have been a Substitute teacher in Hampden County, MA and most recently worked as a Counselor for a group home in which the children needed support on a daily basis with their schoolwork. My interest in academia is rooted in my desire to help children learn and to make that learning lifelong. It is my goal to make learning fun, purposeful, and memorable. I really enjoy tutoring students one on one better than teaching in the classroom, because of the one on one contact, because I have found it helps take the pressure off the stuent to facilitate learning. Also, by taking a short time to learn myself about the person's background, it helps me to better understand how to best remove any obstacles that may be standing in the way.
