I believe that everyone is teachable, if the student has the desire and the teacher has the commitment. I tend to be a patient teacher, with high standards. I actively question the student, which allows me to challenge the student in my presence, where I am able to guide him/her. While I have predominantly tutored college students, I have also taught adults and children. I try to work at a pace that is comfortable for the student and also meets the academic requirements for their program. I have a lot of patience and encourage students to try even when they are not familiar or comfortable with a subject. The first step is always the hardest.
