My comments on tutoring English : Grammar, punctuation, syntax, vocabulary

I have taught middle school language arts for 15 years in both public and private schools. I excel in teaching young people how to write clearly, completely, and concisely. While I can teach them grammar, punctuation, spelling, organization, and research skills. CONTENT often comes from the heart rather than the head. I have had several of my students win awards in writing completions. One struggling 8th grader worked so hard that he was accepted into an Honors English Class his freshman year in high school.
I believe that grammar and punctuation are critical in written expression. I am very focused on the learning style of the student and will begin with most student making that determination and connection with the student. My comments on tutoring English : I earned my BA in English from Concordia University Irvine in 2010. After graduating, I worked at CUI as a graduate assistant for several general education English classes. I lectured on various novels, poems, and short stories, provided private tutoring for students, and I graded and provided feedback on essays. I also taught an Early College Prep course for high schoolers in Writing and Research. Every lesson had text analysis, a grammar lesson, and writing practice.

I earned my BA in English in 2010 and have been teaching and tutoring high school and college students ever since, both in the classroom and as a private tutor. My years of experience have helped me understand not only what is expected of students but how to best teach those skills. Success is Feasible

I teach according to the student's learning style. I acknowledge that all students learn differently, and I excel at catering to visual, aural, and kinesthetic needs of students.
