I teach in a discussion style; A one-on-one lecture format. I have found that this, in concert with working examples, is a good way for students to learn. However, I understand that many people learn in different ways, and I am willing to accommodate.
I am a graduate accounting student at NIU, emphasizing in the study of taxation. My undergraduate accounting degree is also from NIU. I am currently studying for the CPA exam. I have been a graduate assistant for a taxation course and a managerial accounting course. I have tutored business statistics and financial statement auditing. My early teaching and learning style was to do as many problems that were thrown at me in class or the text. I learned quickly that you need to understand the problem in order to solve problems that aren't set up for you. I enjoy teaching and have a lot of patience with my students becuase I believe they all have the potential to meet and exceed their expectations with the proper tutuledge.
I have multiple degrees in computer and electrical engineering from Purdue University. I also have a partial degree in Accelerated Associates in Culinary Arts from Kendall College and a few classes in Computer Science in the Masters program in Computer Science and the University of Illinois Chicago. I have experience in manufacturing engineering, Research and Development, Sales, Management in Computers and several years as a Chef.
