A Little Bit About Me...

As a corporate controller, I have trained and mentored many non-experienced individuals to become accountants in the payables, receivables, cost, and fixed asset functions. Many of these indivuals I have further trained and mentored to become analysts of financial data.
I am very good at training and mentoring people, my approach is to get the individual to think through the processes for themselves. I believe all individuals have the capability to learn accounting methods through visual and oral aids.

A Little Bit About Me...

In groups, I like to have many examples and participation from the audience. As a manager and mentor, I also prefer to teach a concept and return to it when the student has an opportunity to use it in their work. It is important to be able to adjust your teaching style to the needs of the student, and I love the challenge of being able to do this.
I have always loved to learn new things, and as a teenager wanted to be a teacher. I have a B.S. in Dietetics with a chemistry minor, as well as an M.B.A. My role as a dietitian requires the ability to teach all ages groups, with diverse backgrounds and educational levels. After completion of my MBA, I moved into a senior leadership role. In this position, I facilitated strategic planning sessions and tutored staff who were completing BS or MS degrees in English, sciences, quality, writing, and business classes.
