A Little Bit About Me...

I have worked in the private sector for over 28-years. During that time, I have earned Associates Degrees in Business Administration and Mechanical Engineering Technology. I have also earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. The majority of my career has been spent working with un-skilled laborers, which has afforded me the opportunity to teach as well as learn. Not only have I developed training programs and materials for employees but written procedure manuals and field installation guides for my company. I have two children of my own and have spent many rewarding hours tutoring them in their studies.

I enjoy working with children. As a matter of fact, I coached Little League Baseball for 12 years and had a blast. I believe children today need to explore various learning techniques and decide which works best for them. I have learned that one of the most effective learning tools for teachers is the ability to connect with their students. I feel like my style and sincerity is reflective in my teaching therefore; the students quickly engage and appreciate the way I show a caring respect for them. A Little Bit About Me...

I enjoy teaching and do my best to make learning fun and easy for my pupils. I approach lessons by letting the student realize how and why the lesson is important and how it relates to their lives. I firmly believe everyone can learn; the style in which they learn may differ from others, but given the correct approach, all teachers/tutors can be successful.
With my Bachelor's degree, I began tutoring through Reading Success and conducted private tutoring of Georgia History. I progressed to teaching English, Spanish, and some Special Education Resource classes at the High School level, and continued to teach lower level English classes at a local college along with reading in an Adult Continuing Education program through another college. My writing skills have been sharpened as I edited and wrote articles for newsletters, newspaper releases, and in an administrative capacity.
