I believe in being hands on and visual, many students have problems in math and science because they are unable to visualize the words written in their books. I am extremly organized so that my time is best spent on the most difficult areas for each individual student.

My comments on tutoring Anatomy : BS Biology and held NC teaching certificate for 4 years prior to changing fields. Worked in college as a laboratory assistant for three years.

My teaching style varies to the student. I first try to asses prior knowledge and comprehension through general questions. Once this has been established, I use examples, visual aids, and verbal communication to better illustrate the topic at hand. Everyone has different learning styles. I enjoy working with students to help them understand biology and how they participate in a biological world. I believe that the most important concept in teaching is engagement with the student. I strive to engage students in biology by exploring how biological concepts relate to the students life.
