Successful test prep retired English teacher

I recently retired from the HOPE School of Hamilton City Schools. The HOPE School is a credit recovery school that helps students get caught up for graduation. Students who are too far behind to complete graduation in a timely manner are given GED tutoring. I was in charge of this tutoring and tutoring for state standards tests. I would sit beside them while they played the pieces I had assigned to them to practice since the previous lesson. If they had problems or questions about something, I was there to help. As a parent concerned about the condition of the public school system we decided to homeschool our last two children. I began teaching them in the first grade and have continued up to, and including, the present time. My son is now a high school freshman and my daughter is in the eighth grade.
