During my college years, I have been working towards a degree in Early Childhood Education. I graduated on May 11, and will soon be getting my teaching certificate for elementary education. I have helped elementary students in and out of the classroom. I also tutored fellow peers when they were struggling with certain subjects.

I have worked with many kids for years whether it's babysitting or in a classroom. I can help with words and math and come up with ways for them to understand it at their own level. I'll do whatever it takes to make sure they understand and aren't frustrated. Many kids fall in love with me just because I am such a fulfilling person and easy to get along with. I hope to help some get a better knowledge especially those who have a hard time with testing like I did.

As an instructional assistant for kindergarden I was responsible for assisting the classroom teacher with daily instrucion and activities. I provided individual instruction when needed and assisted in developing behavior modificaion plans. I enjoy working with elementary aged children. I believe that all children want to learn but all have individual styles that an instructor must recognize. You can actually see the "a-ha" factor when a child has processed and understood something. That is my favorite expression. It looks like surprise and joy all in one facial expression. I stoped working in education and now realize that I need to be in a classroom setting working with children. I believe it is my natural calling and I plan to be a memorable instructor/tutor.

I am a passionate mentor of youth and children in a church setting. For 5 years I have mentored a youth group of 12-25 junior high and high school students.
