As cliché as this sounds - my favorite part of teaching is the satisfaction of knowing I made a difference. I have interacted with individuals across countless backgrounds and understand the idea of each student needing to hear things in their own terms. The simple concept penetrates through my patient teaching style. Some of my favorite ways to connect with students is to create simple analogies using subjects which interest them. As a Supervisor, and later as Safety Trainer, for the Phone Company, I was called on to present and educate employees of the Phone Company (QWEST) 1970 - 2001. Topics ranged from general safety to technical applications specific to jobs within the company. After retirement from the Phone Company, I began teaching photography to Real Estate professionals, with a MN Department of Commerce approval (course #1003818). I've been a Professional Photographer since 2003.
