My comments on tutoring Drawing : I have a Fine Arts degree from the University of Maryland and have been doing some form of artwork all of my life.

A 30+ year career in the field of Graphics and Design that included a directorship managing several graphics and reproduction departments. In working for the University of Kentucky I was responsible for varied assignments such as audio and video manipulation, web design, and teaching as well as digital illustrations and CD-ROM development. In my most recent job I designed marketing pieces, packaging labels, business cards, and checked art provided by customers to ready it for printing. I would say that my teaching style is very interactive. Anyone can give instructions but I love feedback from a one on one situation as well as a group environment. I base alot of my instruction on analogies; when a person can relate an experience or another word to a term being tought, their understanding is broadened and 99% of the time embedded in the longterm memory. That to me is not only developing the ability to draw on a built up knowledge base, but also broadens ones ability to convey what has been learned.

During My senior year of high school I was a teachers aid for A freshman level art class and would often work one on one with students who had questions or needed some extra help.
