Have taught lower-level undergraduate math classes for 3 years; I have worked as a tutor for close to 2 years at the MATH center of Ohio University. I am a recent graduate from Miami University. I have a degree in Adolescent/Young Adult Social Studies Education and my teaching certification is currently pending. I have over 60 credit hours completed towards a degree in music. My focus as a music student was voice, but I also spent a lot of time studying African American music. I really enjoy, generally speaking, helping people, but mainly help them pursue a future degree for themselves and a better life. I keep telling to my students that they should erase the "math fear" and that everything is easy if one understands it. I have always loved helping students one-on-one and helping them understand what they are having trouble with in the subject of mathematics. I enjoy math and finding the correct answer for different problems. I like to show students the correct method for solving problems as well as how easy it can be to correctly complete a math problem. I believe that anyone can learn different parts of math if they have the correct resources and teaching style to help instruct them.
