I've always been one to reach out and help other classmates or relatives of mine. I am currently helping my cousin who is a year older than me in school with her chemistry. In high school I would be always be in the extra help room during my free periods to help out the other students struggling in whatever area, and all the students always came to me for help because they knew I would sit down and help them. I was employed by the Lakeland Central School District as a substitute Teacher Aide and later in a full time capacity. I worked for the OASIS Program and later at the Alternative High School. After completing my Bachelor's Degree at Concordia College, I applied for and was accepted into the New York City Teaching Fellows Program. I taught Special Education at a high needs urban high school in the Bronx. This was a challenging and rewarding experience. Many of my students continued on to post secondary schools. I am currently finishing my Master's degree program at City College of New York, expected graduation is May 2013.
