My goal is to connect with the student at THEIR level. We start by going over the basics of problem solving and work from there to foster independent thinking. After graduating from the University of Connecticut with a BA in English, I went on to pursue my teaching certification through an internship program. During that time and shortly following, I had the opportunity to work as a teacher's assistant in grades 3 and 5, a long term substitute in grade 3, and a long term substitute in a sixth grade Language Arts class. From there, I was hired as a third grade teacher, which is what I currently teach. In addition, I have tutored students, in grades 2 through 6, in various areas including Reading, Writing, and Math.
