My comments on tutoring Japanese : I am a native speaker of Japanese and I have been working as a Japanese language coach for almost a year now. I am passionate about teaching and I love meeting new people!

I have been working as a Japanese Language Coach for Rosetta Stone for almost a year now. I won the best QA completion this summer which is based on the monthly coach QA evaluation result. I also translate company’s program related documents from English to Japanese. I also taught 5 week Japanese course to Marines in USMC base in Quantico, VA this summer (2014). Japanese is one of my top subjects!

Hello! Hajimemashite! I recently returned (June 2018) from my study abroad at Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University, or APU! I studied and lived there for about three years. My major was in Asia Studies and Japanese Culture, Society and Media. I was able to get an equivalent of N3 on the JLPT(Japanese Language Proficiency Test). While i'm not natively "fluent”, I was able to live and navigate daily life independently. I was also a TA for multiple classes while I attended my own curriculum. Learning Japanese and about Japanese culture has always been a passion of mine and I hope I can share some tips and tricks I learned to help pick up the language more easily.

I'm half Japanese and half British. Previously worked in Japan, and still work with clients from the area. I've tutored Japanese since the age of 16, and enjoy the interactions with my students. I graduated from high school with honors from a school that never pushed the effectiveness of attending college to students. I maintained my focus and attended Virginia State University in the fall of 2006. My mother was my inspiration, so much that I ventured towards science as my field of study. I chose to be a chemist, allowing myself to go above and beyond the norm. I succeeded as I came upon the completion of my undergraduate studies and obtaining a BS in Chemistry. While finishing up my final semester, I was offered a tutoring position that would allow me to connect with underclassmen as well as my peers, not only with class work but aiding as a mentor to students as well.
