My comments on tutoring Latin : I have been studying and tutoring Latin for more than 7 years, and I am studying it as a graduate student in US.

I like to use a communicative way of teaching: I use songs, videos, games to teach the language to my students, and I believe that is really important for them to hear me talk in my own language. For Latin I usually try to teach the grammar first and to make the student think about the words we have to translate.
I am an Italian Professor in College in the Boston area. I am 27 years old and I have been tutoring Italian and Latin for 7 years and I really enjoyed it. If you can ingite a desire to learn in students, I believe everything falls into place after that.
