My passion is to help children learn to read and master math skills. Since each child learns differently I have researched multiple teaching strategies, especially for those with learning differences, so that I can find the key to your child’s learning potential. I strive for a low pressure, engaging environment where kids look forward to the next session. I look forward to meeting you and your child.

Jackie W. - Round Rock, TX 78664 (42.1 mi) - Elementary Reading Tutor - $37.50/hr.
I have a passion to help struggling readers not just to learn to read better, but to love to read! I have been trained by Neuhaus Dyslexia Center in Houston, TX. I have been tutoring students for two years, and absolutely love it! My desire as a dyslexia tutor is not to just teach students how to read, but to help them develop a love for reading!
Prior to tutoring, I taught at St. Thomas Episopal School in Houston, for seven years.
I received my Bachelors degree from Abilene Christian University in Interdisciplinary Studies. My focus was Eduaction and Exercise Science. I use the Orton-Gillingham method. It is a multi-sensory approach. The multi-sensory approach helps students to learn in all the different ways our brain can learn. It is a highly effective teaching approach. I am a very patient teacher who encourages students to reach their full potential.

Shae V. - Round Rock, TX 78664 (42.1 mi) - Elementary Reading Tutor - $40.00/hr.
I always liked playing up my quirky personality. My favorite teachers and professors were the goofy ones, the ones who can relate to the students' fun side. These teachers also challenged me the most, and I ended up getting so much more out of the course. I figure that, if a student likes the teacher, he or she will pay more attention and have a deeper respect for the teacher. The teacher then can use this trust to push the student a little more, intellectually. I find that is what works best for me. I don't any paid, professional tutoring experience. However, I have volunteered my services to family members and friends. During my sophomore year, I took Organic Chemistry and excelled. However, my friends were struggling. They hated me a bit for how easy it came to me. I decided to tutor them and help them with homework assignments and studying. They ended up doing very well on the exams

Clare O. - Round Rock, TX 78664 (42.1 mi) - Elementary Reading Tutor - $40.00/hr.
It is my opinion that every child has the ability to learn and be successful, but not every child is going to do that in the same way. I strive to provide all students with a safe and respectful learning environment where their thoughts and creativity are honored and cultivated. I have a genuine interest in the well-being of all students, and want to inspire them to become lifelong learners and problem solvers. I have been working with children for about 4 years. I am currently working on my Masters in Elementary Education, and am a 2nd grade teacher in Austin. This is my first year of teaching. I was an intern in a kindergarten classroom, and student taught in 3rd grade. My resume is available upon request.
